Inclusive Classrooms in Practice

The mission of ACCESS is to create inclusive classrooms where every child can thrive. By equipping teachers with the right tools and knowledge, offering practical advice to parents, and strengthening cooperation between families and educators, the project strives to ensure early identification and effective support for children with learning needs.

In January, the project partners met in Italy to plan the upcoming months. Since then, several important milestones have been achieved:

  • An online resource library was launched to support both teachers and parents across all participating countries.
  • A project promoting video was created in English and translated into the national languages of all partners.
  • The first project newsletter was published in multiple languages, including Lithuanian.

In Lithuania, Joniškis “Saulės“ basic school’s learning support specialist, Elena Čoj, and speech therapist, Ineta Odminienė, actively contributed by designing practical tasks tailored to children with learning difficulties. These resources were translated into English to be shared across partner countries and added to the shared project repository.

Several virtual meetings were held during the semester to share updates, evaluate progress, and plan next steps. These regular exchanges help strengthen international cooperation and ensure the project continues to meet real needs in our classrooms.

As we look ahead, we are excited to host an international meeting in Lithuania this autumn. We believe it will be a valuable opportunity to share experiences, inspire each other, and continue building inclusive education together.

At ACCESS, we believe that inclusion is not just a goal; it’s a daily commitment.
With every shared resource, every training, and every collaborative meeting, we move one step closer to creating classrooms where no child is left behind. As our journey continues, so does our dedication to building a stronger, more inclusive future, together.
