Open Event in Lithuania, Joniškis: Sharing Experience and Building Connections

On November 26, 2025, English language teachers from Joniškis and Pakruojis districts gathered at the Joniškis District Education Centre for an open professional development event. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to share good practices, exchange ideas, and draw inspiration from colleagues working in the field of foreign language education.

During the event, six educators delivered presentations, including Joniškis “Saulės“ basic school’s English teacher, Asta Valienė. She introduced her colleagues to the international Erasmus+ project “ACCESS”, presenting its main aims and objectives, partner meetings held so far, completed activities, and future plans. Particular attention was given to the project’s long-term impact and benefits for primary school teachers, pupils aged 6–10, and their parents. Once fully developed, the project will offer a comprehensive set of resources, including a toolkit for parents, online training courses for teachers, and a digital library to support inclusive and effective learning.

The open event also fostered new professional friendships and strengthened existing ones. We hope that this meaningful cooperation will continue and that foreign language teachers will keep sharing their successes, experiences, and ideas while learning from one another.
